Congratulations to medical students Nadine Najah, MD27 and Mollie Ockene MD28, who have been awarded a Sustainability Seed Grant to develop and teach a climate-health education series for the RI community. The medical-student led, interactive curriculum will be co-developed with community partners to cover the specific topics of heat stress, air pollution, and plastic use. Set to happen this upcoming summer, the educational workshops will increase community planetary health literacy, equip RI residents with protective environmental change interventions, and create a sustained partnership between Brown and community members and organizations.
